Piedmont Technical College uses the high school transcript as the primary tool for course placement. A student can exempt some recommended course placements with one of the following:

1. Successful completion of college level English and Math courses as evidenced by a college transcript.
2. Earned associate, bachelor or higher degree from a DoE recognized institution.
3. SAT/ACT or GED score report reflecting appropriate test scores. 
4. For Dual Enrollment only, PSAT/Pre-ACT score report reflecting appropriate test scores.
