Readmission of Suspended Students
The college believes that any individual who meets its admission criteria should be allowed to attend the college and pursue an educational program.
From time to time, however, a student may be suspended from the college for disciplinary reasons because of a failure to abide by the rules and regulations set forth in the Student Code for the South Carolina Technical College System. When a student’s behavior is such that it interrupts the educational process for other students or has the potential to harm any student, staff or faculty member, then the sanction of suspension may be imposed for a specified length of time, depending on the severity of the behavior. In these situations, a student is clearly advised in writing that reinstatement to the college requires a meeting with and the agreement of the Vice President for Student Affairs (or designee).
