Readmission of Suspended Students

It is the college’s belief that any individual who meets admission criteria be allowed to attend the college and pursue an educational program.

From time to time, however, a student may be suspended from the college for disciplinary reasons because he/she cannot abide by the rules and regulations set forth in the Student Code for the South Carolina Technical College System. When a student’s behavior is such that it interrupts the educational process for other students or has the potential to harm any student, staff or faculty member, then the sanction of suspension may be imposed for a specified length of time, depending on the severity of the behavior. A student is clearly advised in writing that at the end of the stated suspension period, he/she must meet with the Vice President for Student Affairs (or designee) prior to being reinstated to the college.
